Abstract

PURPOSE: To cut the peduncles of fruits to a constant length automatically, by using a horizontally moving base plate with through-hole, a cutting blade of the peduncles at the bottom and a fruit pressing means at the top thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Fruits 10 are placed on a horizontally moving base plate 9 to protrude the peduncles 12 thereof down from through-holes 11 of the base plate 9. The fruits 10 are pressed downward by a rubber sheet 19 of a pressing body 18 rotating at the same speed as the base plate 9 while being moved, and the peduncles 12 are cut by a cutting blade 16. The pressing of the fruits 10 from above provides the protrusion of the peduncles of any fruits under the same conditions and constant cutting position.
