Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the adhesive strength of the end portions of a molding by preventing them from being smudged with surplus liquid adhesives which are caused to leak outward from the surface to be glued by pressure adhesion by means of an arrangement so that such surplus liquid adhesives art naturally drawn into recessed portions formed at the ends of the back side of the molding in advance.
CONSTITUTION: In a molding 10 consisting of a molding main body 11 and an end gap 12, grooves 23 are formed at both sides of the molding main body 11 and grooves 15 are also formed at the end 13 and both sides 14 of the end gap 12, and grooves 23 are connected to grooves 15. Next hotmelts 16 are provided on the back of the molding 10 and liquid adhesives 17 are coated on it. After the molding 10 is temporarily installed to the surface of a panel 2, a roller 18 gives pressure from the substantial center of the molding 10 in the direction of the end gap 12 and sticks the molding to the panel by spreading the liquid adhesives 17 throughout the back surface. Surplus adhesives are accommodated in grooves 23, 15 to prevent them from leaking outward and the end portions of the molding are securely bonded with adhesives in grooves 15.
