Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce a warning in detection of a doze by detecting the doze during drive according to blinking condition on a well-paved road and handle adjusting condition on an irregular one.
CONSTITUTION: A light source 1 is installed to direct light to the driver's eyelid and a lens 4 is mounted to focus scattered light to a part 5 of photoelectric effect material. The variation of the scattered light according to blinking or body movement is taken out as a first pulse. The variation of the scattered light produced by the body movement according to vibration in travelling is taken out as a second pulse 2 by means of the part 5 of photoelectric material. An electric pulse produced by a part 10 when a handle 12 is operated is taken out as a third pulse 3. A holding circuit for accumulating the pulse 1 of 3 is provided to allow the accumulated pulse to flow into an alarm 9 at proper intervals determined by a timer. When at this time no pulse flows into the holding circuit, it is judged to be a dose during drive so that a warning is produced.
