Abstract

CONSTITUTION: (-)-1-Phenyl-2-(p-tolyl)ethylamine is used as a resolving reagent to optically resolve (±)-2-(6-methoxy-2-naphthyl)propionic acid to produce (+)-2- (6-methoxy-2-naphthyl)propionic acid. As a solvent, is preferably used a mixed solvent such as methanol-ethyl acetate (1:1).
USE: Anti-inflammatory, analgesic or antipyretic.
