Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically control the accumulation and releasing of heat, by a method wherein a plurality of reaction tanks, separated into units, are provided in a system, and number of units of reaction tanks, to be operated by the signal corresponding to the condition of a rate of heat, is controlled.
CONSTITUTION: The reaction tanks AWE are provided, and a hydrogen gas holding space 4 of each tank is connected to a hydrogen gas holder (not shown) by hydrogen gas pipes 5aW5e, and orifices and valves A1WE1 are provided to each tank, too. The reaction tank A is through a valve A1, the tank B is through valves A1 and B1, the tank C is through valves A1WC1, the tank D is through valves A1WD1, and the tank E is through valves A1WE1, connected to a hydrogen gas holder, respectively. The heat exchanging coils 6aW6e are provided in the metallic hydride holding space 3 of each reacting tank AWE, and these coils are connected in series through valves B3WE3, and also, valves A2WE2 are provided between a heat exchanging fluid supplying pipe 7 and the fluid receiving side. Further, valves A1WE1, A2WE2, B3WE3 are composed in order that opening and closing of the valves are controlled by the driving signals aWe corresponding to the necessary rate of heat. With such an arrangement, only necessary number of tanks among the reaction tanks AWE can be operated.
