Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the production of a change in an oscillation frequency at a using time, by a method wherein, in a bimorph type piezo-electric vibrator which vibrates in synchronism with a natural frequency generated at a time when an engine knocks, a thickness of a retainer thereof is thicker than that of a vibrating part. CONSTITUTION:In an ignition device when an engine efficiency is improved by setting forward an ignition time of an engine to the limit to which a knocking is generated, a bimorph type piezo-electric vibrator is employed to a sensor for detecting engine knocking. A thickness T2 of a retainer 5b, supporting a vibrating part 5a of the vibrator, is enoughly thicker than a thickness T1 of the vibrating part 5a to form a double vibrator in a cantilever in which one end is fixed and the other end is free. Thus, even if a slippage deformation is caused between the retainer 5b and a support body surface during the use, a c-part, which forms the vibrating point of the vibrating part 5a, is monolithically structured, and this permits the stabilization of a resonance frequency, which results in enabling to prevent the production of a change in an oscillation frequency.
