Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent worsening of a responsiveness of an electrode indication value and the production of a drift, by a method wherein a toroidal film being impermeable to an electrode reaction participation material is connected between a first and a second diaphragm, and an enzyme is secured in a concavity. CONSTITUTION:If an enzyme electrode is corroded with a liquid to be measured, oversized material, e.g., high molecular protein, is removed by means of a lamination film 1b and a first diaphragm 21b. Flows a and c of the liquid to be measured are then checked by a toroidal film 22, which results in enabling an electrode reaction participation material, e.g., H2O2, to prevent from reaching a second diaphragm 24b. The flow b of the liquid to be measured produces glucon acid and H2O2 resulting from the exertion of an enzyme eaction on a glucose by a glucose oxidase of a gelatinous material 23b, reaches the second diaphragm 24b where an interfering material, e.g., L-ascolbin acid is removed, and only a low-molecular weight material, e.g., H2O2, of a component to be measured reaches an anode 2 to be detected. H2O2 produced resulting from the enzyme reaction can not reach a liquid junction through the disturbance of the toroidal film 22, and this prevents worsening of a responsiveness of an electrode indication value and the production of a drift.
