Abstract
PURPOSE:To further improve the temp. dependency of an electrostatic recording body and the quality of an image by regulating the average particle size of photoconductive zinc oxide as the principal component of the low resistance layer of the body to <=0.3mum. CONSTITUTION:The low resistance layers 2, 2' of an electrostatic recording body are formed on one side or both sides of a support with photoconductive zinc oxide and an insulating resin as principal components. At this time, the average particle size of the zinc oxide is regulated to <=0.3mum. The recording body is irradiated with ultraviolet rays or white light and used in a low resistance state. When the zinc oxide has <=0.3mum average particle size, a smaller quantity of light for exposure is required. In case of 0.35-0.6mum zinc oxide used in an electrophotographic receptor, a considerable quantity of light or exposure is used to sufficiently lower the resistance value.
