Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform comparing operation at a high speed by storing plural data in respective addresses of a variable memory and by supplying parallel data to be compared as addressing signals for the variable memory.
CONSTITUTION: A start signal ST is supplied to a control part CT, which then generates a gate signal GC1 and a memory control signal W/R to open gates G1 and G2, permitting a variable memory MM to be written in. At the same time, an addressing signal AD and a discrimination data signal Dd are supplied as parallel data from the control part CT to the address terminal and data terminal of the memory MM to store the discrimination data in respective addresses of the memory MM. When the signal GC1 is stopped and a signal GC2 is generated, a gate G3 turns on and parallel data DX to be compared is supplied as an addressing signal to the address terminal of the memory MM. Then, the prescribed stored discrimination data is read out of addresses of the memory MM with the same numbers as those of respective bits of the data DX and supplied to a latch circuit LT, from which comparison results are outputted.
