Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a three-dimensional video, by inverting the light from an object by a compound lens and picking it up and by supplying the video signal to a receiving tube where a semicylindrical lens adheres to the outside face of a face plate. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup unit 1 consists of a pickup tube 11 and a compound lens 12 arranged in a prescribed position in front of the pickup tube 11. The light supplied to the compound lens 12 through a slit of a light shielding plate 12c is inverted through the compound lens 12 and is supplied to a pickup face 11a of the pickup tube 11 to focus an inverted image on the pickup face 11a. Dot images focused on the pickup face 11a successively from the upper end to the lower end are formed on a fluorescent face 21a of a receiving tube 21 from the upper end to the lower end. Lights emitted from respective dot images go through the single semicylindrical lens 21c in directions of angles theta--theta.
