Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of air flow and improve the coating efficiency by closing the front opening part of a cuplike spraying head with a disk and forming a prescribed paint flow path between the top surface of the spraying head and the circumference of the disk.
CONSTITUTION: The front opening part of a spraying head 5 is closed by a thin disk 13 and continuous sawtooth V-grooves are formed on the contact surface with the spraying head in the circumference of the disk. When paint is supplied to the annular space of the spraying head rotating at a high speed from the nozzle port 12 of a paint sraying nozzle 11, the paint flows into the cuplike inner surface 9 of the spraying head 5 through a paint flowing hole 10 by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the spraying head 5. Then the paint reaches the disk 13 and flows from the paint flow path with V-grooves to the external. In this case, the disk 13 prevents air flow to be generated by the negative pressure of a central space part in the spraying head, preventing the spraying paint from being scattered.
