Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the measurement of also the phase frequency characteristics of an apparatus to be measured, by incorporating relatively simple circuits such as an intermediate frequency oscillator, a variable phase shifter, a phase comparator and the like in a conventional spectral analyzer. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate frequency oscillator 39 which outputs a signal of the same frequency as that of the intermediate frequency signal from an amplifier 34 of an analyzer is provided, and the output thereof is passed through a local oscillator 33, a frequency mixer 41 and the like, and a differential frequency is outputted to an output terminal 42. The utput of a frequency converter 41 is supplied to a phase comparator 46 through a frequency divider 43, a variable phase shifter 44, a frequency multiplier 45 and the like, to detect the phase difference between the output of the amplifier 34. Accordingly, if the output of the phase comparator 46 is supplied to a display device 37 through a change-over switch 54, in place of the output of a logarithm amplifier 36, the phase characteristics of an apparatus 12 being measured, with respect to the frequency, is displayed. By such a constitition, the phase frequency characteristics of said apparatus can be also measured.
