Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent secondary adhesivity such as hot water resistance, saline water resistance, wheather resistance, etc., by melting and mixing a specified saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a monoolefin-unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride copolymer, at a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by melting and mixing (A) 100pts.wt. of a saponified copolymer having a degree of saponification of 50W100% and obtained by saponifying an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content of 10W55wt% (pref. 15W50%) and a melt index of 5W500, and (B) 0.01W10pts. of a copolymer of a monoolefin and an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride (the content of the unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride is pref. 5W 50mol%). The component (B) is pref. a monoolefin-maleic anhydride copolymer which is an altrenating copolymer of ethylene, isobutylene and maleic anhydride.
USE: Useful as a metal coating agent in the form of powder.
