Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the adhesivity of a thermosetting adhesive at high temperature, by partially crosslinking a specific block copolymer consisting of monovinylsubstituted aromatic compound polymer blocks and conjugated diolefin polymer blocks.
CONSTITUTION: A block copolymer having a monovinyl-substituted aromatic compound content of 10W70wt% and a number-average molecular weight of 5,000W 500,000 and represented by the formulaI[A is block consisting of polymer of monovinyl-substituted aromatic compound (e.g. styrene); B is block consisting of polymer of conjugated diolefin (e.g. 1,3-butadiene); X is polyfunctional residue having m bonding arms; m is 3W7], etc., is partially crosslinked with a crosslinking agent (e.g. organic peroxide, etc.) to obtain a polymer having a sweeling degree of 5W 100cc/g polymer (as represented by formula II, immersed in toluene at 25°C for 22hr).
