Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause cavitation in a fuel continuously and to obtain a modified fuel oil having improved combustion efficiency, by introducing the fuel oil into a casing having a rotator equipped with a hard linear protrusion part, rotating the rotator at high speed.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a fuel oil, e.g., heavy oil etc. is introduced from the feed pipe 6 for fuel oil to the casting 2, and the rotator 4 equipped with the iron wire potrusion part 5 is rotated at a high speed of 1,600W3,600rpm, to cause a large number of cavitation in the oil. The composition substances in the fuel oil are decomposed by the high pressure and high temperature resulting from the rotation, and converted into a low-molecular substances, and pulverized extremely finely divided particles, to give a modified fuel oil. This oil is discharged from the discharge pipe 7 to the outside of the casing 2, and fed to a boiler or engine.
EFFECT: Since it burns completely, CO slightly evolvs, the evolving amount of NOX is also reduced, and the occurrence of environmental pollution is prevented. A heavy oil of one lower rank can be used economically.
