Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate work of assembling a disc brake to a support portion formed with a knuckle by elastically suspending a friction pad with calipers.
CONSTITUTION: A support porton 3 is formed with a knuckle 2, which is provided with an arm portion extended and divided into two on one side of a disc 1. Both the ends of two-way arms of the support portion 3 are provided with torque receiving portions 4 formed in such a manner as to extend outward diameter of the disc 1 toward the other side, and with a pair of right and left slide pins 5 fixed thereon which are extended in the opposite direction to the disc 1. Both inner and outer friction pads 7, 8 are suspended by means of pad anti-rattle springs 9 in preinstallation state, and after installation, both the friction pads 7, 8 are supported on the support portion 3 and the torque receiving portion 4 by the anti-rattle springs 9.
