Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the heating process and to decrease the time of working, by exfoliating a coated layer by pinching an optical fiber with a tool containing a lateral rocking preventing part, a grip stopping part and an exfoliating blade having elasticity. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 made of an elastic material into a U-shape contains lateral rocking preventing parts 2 and 3 plus grip stopping parts 4 and 4'. Exfoliating blades 5 and 6 have the elesticity as a whole with edges 5' and 6' worked flat, and a hollowed prevention plate 7 is attached to the edge 6' to prevent the biting shift of the blades. Then the blades 5 and 6 are fixed to the main body 1 with screws. The tip of an optical fiber F is pinched with such tool, and the grip is applied to the main body 1 to exfoliate a coated layer 8. The refuse of the tool is gathered into a tool (box). In such way, the heating process is eliminated to reduce the time of working for exfoliation of a coated layer.
