PURPOSE:To stably execute a fixing operation by a simple constitution, by exactly making a pressure roller press-contact with a heat roller in case of a fixing operation, and exactly separating them in case of non-fixing operation. CONSTITUTION:When an eccentric cam 12 is rotated, an arm makes a bearing part 8 of a pressure roller 5 its supporting point, and is turned and deflected in the direction for stretching a tension spring 16. The rotation of the eccentric cam 12 is stopped at a position where the most eccentric part of the cam 12 is opposed to a roller 13. In this case, the pressure roller 5 is pressed against a heat roller 4 by prescribed pressure by energizing force of the tension spring 16, and the fixing operation is executed satisfactorily. Also, when a picture supporting body 2 passes through between the hear roller 4 and the pressure roller 5, a driving signal is sent from a detector, the least eccentric part of the eccentric cam 12 is rotated until it is opposed to the roller 13, and consequently, the pressure roller 5 is separated from the heat roller 4. According to such a constitution, the fixing operation is executed stably by a simple constitution.
