Abstract
PURPOSE:To shield the emission of ultraviolet rays and fully emit visible light, by coating a thin film of titanium oxide to internal surfaces of a glass bulb and forming a fluorescent material film on said thin film. CONSTITUTION:A titanium compound is heated and vaporized, and this vapor is introduced to the inside of a glass bulb 1 heated to 550-600 deg.C, thus a thin film 2 of titanium oxide is formed to internal surfaces of the glass bulb 1. Then a suspension of fluorescent material is applied on the thin film 2 of titanium oxide on the internal surface of the glass bulb 1 to form a fluorescent material film 3. To both ends of the glass bulb 1, a base 5 with pins is adhesively mounted by adhesive cement.
