Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform an efficient mounting and obtain a switching capacity lager than a specified current by a method wherein a light emitting element, a light detecting element with high speed response and an amplifying element which amplifies an output current of the light detecting element are unified. CONSTITUTION:An LED12 is provided to an input side of a photocoupler 11 and an element with high speed response such as a PIN photo-diode 13 is provided to an output side of the photocoupler 11. Also a Darlington power transistor 14 which amplifies the output current of the PIN photo-diode 13. The element compostion of the photocoupler 11 is such that those elements are mounted on a light emitting of element mounting frame 24, a light detecting element mounting frame 29 and a Darlington power transistor mounting frame 30 and are fabricated into one body by epoxy resin 34. With above method, the number of components and the mounting space are reduced and a switching capacity more than 0.5A can be obtained.
