Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture granular sodium percarbonate with superior shelf stability by adding phosphoric acid or phosphate and an Mg compound to powdered sodium percarbonate and granulating them.
CONSTITUTION: Powdered sodium percarbonate is charged into a kneader. An aqueous soln. is prepared by blending a suitable percentage each of phosphoric acid or phosphate and an Mg compound or further adding an org. chelating agent. An adequate amount of this aqueous soln. is dropped into said kneader and well kneaded with the powdered sodium percarbonate. The kneaded material is granulated by extrusion through a screen and dried.
