Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an axis line to coincide with an axis line of a moment produced at a time when a sheet pile is pressed in and pulled off, by a method wherein jacks are mounted at a member in the proximity of an front of a slip- fitting deck for supporting a beam, and at a member in the proximity of the rear end thereof.
CONSTITUTION: In case a sheet pile pressing-in and pulling-out chuck 10 is adjusted in a position against a reaction force chuck 2 when a new sheet pile is pressed and pulled, through the construction of upper jacks 8, 9 or lower jacks 6, 7 and the expansion of the opposite jacks, the sheet pile pressing-in and pulling-out jack 10 is rectilinearly moved in a direction crossing a beam 5 togetherwith the beam 5. Some of all the jacks are caused to suspend operating and the rest is caused to operate, which results in enabling the beam 5 to turn centering around the suspending jack acting as a fulcrum, and in allowing the sheet pile pressing-in and pulling check 10 to revolve around the reaction force chuck 2.
