Abstract
PURPOSE: To form an oblique excavation wall surface in a ditch in a steady manner, by a method wherein a plurality of bits are mounted at a frame pivotably secured to a hanging lever, and the frame is pressed against the excavation wall surface by means of a jack 6.
CONSTITUTION: With bits 1 turned, a frame 2 is pushed into soil and sand through the operation of a jack 6, and soil and sand in an estimated excavation spot 10 is scraped by the bits 1 to form a lower enlarged part 10. An enlarged part 16 is formed with an excavating device lifted gradually. After an elarged part 17 is formed in a similar manner, the excavation device, located in an excavating position, is moved sideways to perform an excavation action, which results in forming an excavation enlarged part 18, having a more enlarged excavation part, except spots 15 where the bits 1 can move cover. The horizontal movement of the excavation device excavates the unexcavating spots 15. The gradual vertical movement of the excavation device forms an excavation surface 19.
