Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent possible misdetection during the lamp checking by invaliably feeding a bias voltage to the input side of a comparator in such a manner as to prevent the output of the comparator for detecting a drop in the liquid level based on the output of a thermistor. CONSTITUTION:When the output voltage V0 of a thermistor 2 drops to check a lamp 3, the reference voltage Vr of a comparator 6 is altered to a level lower than that V0 of the thermistor 2. This checks the output of the comparator 6 even when the voltage VBB fed to the thermistor 2 to gain the output voltage V0 is interrupted. For example, in a device which is designated to emit a voice warning when the level of residual fuel falls below specified value, misdetection of the voltage output can be prevented even if the output voltage of a thermistor 2 is suspended temporarily at the actuation thereof. Thus, this can prevent the accidental emission of voice warning at the starting of the engine.
