Abstract

PURPOSE:To drive respective devices in spite of the opened state of an upper unit by using the driving part of either unit of the upper or lower unit as a driving source for that unit and a power transmission relay member as a driving source for the other unit. CONSTITUTION:A motor 205 which is a driving part is disposed to an upper frame 30A in the position adjacent to the pivotal supporting parts of the upper and lower frames 30A, 30B, and three pieces of gears 35A, 35B, 35C are mounted respectively to the revolving shaft 34 of said motor 25. The gear 35A is connected via a timing belt 38 to the gear 37A of a revolving shaft 36 mounted to the pivotal supporting parts, and the gear 35B is connected via a timing belt 40 to the gear 39B connected to a gear 39A which revolves a photoreceptor 18. Further, the gear 35C is connected via a timing belt 43 to a gear 42 mounted to a revolving shaft 41. A gear 19B meshes with the gear 39A, and a sprocket 19C is mounted to the shaft having this gear 19B.
