Abstract

PURPOSE:To appropriately and uniformly apply offset preventive liquid to a roller for a long period, by installing a high molecular synthetic resin film having minute continuous pores to the peripheral surface of the rotating body for supplying the offset preventive liquid. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular synthetic resin film 11 having minute continuous pores are formed on the surface on an oil keeping layer 13'' of a roller-shaped applying device C, and the silicon oil soaked into the layer 13'' oozes out from the minute continuous pores of the layer 11. The silicon oil is then applied on a fixing roller 1 as the film 11 rotates. Moreover, direction in which the film 11 is hardly extended is set to the rotational direction of the roller 1, and the direction in which the film 11 is easily extended is set to the direction of the bus line of the roller 1, and extensional deformations of the film 11 in the rotational direction at the time when the apparatus is operated are prevented. Thus, appropriate and uniform applications of the silicon oil become possible.
