Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the temperature rise in a junction part of a solid conductor and prevent the thermal deterioration of an insulator by a method wherein the solid conductor and a hollow conductor through which a cooling medium flows are connected via a low-melting point alloy. CONSTITUTION:A recessed section is provided in a solid conductor 6 and the two conductors 6, 6 are connected with each other at copper welding part 8. Hollow conductors 7 are securely adhered to cooling ditches 12 of conductors 6, and both conductors 6 are connected. Afterward, both conductors 7 are connected with each other via a conductor sleeve 9. A thermal conduction segment 14 is arranged as a low-melting point alloy between sleeve 9 and conductor 6, and segment 14 is securely adhered to the vicinity of the junction part of sleeve 9 and conductors 6 via a soldering layer 13. With such a construction, the heat generated at a welding part 8 is transmitted to the segment 14, and then the heat is transferred via sleeve 9 to a cooling medium flowing through the sleeve to reduce the temperature. So, the temperature at the connecting part does not become high during application of voltage, and the insulator does not deteriorate due to heat.
