Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify support structure and improve reliability in strength, by a method wherein a plurality of cylindrical members which can be resiliently deformed in radial direction are arranged at annular space between a stator frame and stator, and contacted with the stator frame and the stator so as to support the stator. CONSTITUTION:When annular space is constituted between a stator 3 and a stotor frame 1 and the stator 3 is supported at two positions in the axial direction, cylindrical members 25 which can be resiliently deformed in radial direction are arranged at plural positions in circumferential direction within the annular space at supporting portion of the stator 3. The annular members 25 are contacted with the stator 3 and the stator frame 1 using support member 21 and 23. An air shield plate 27 to close the annular space is attached to end surface of the support position, and a draught opening 29 is provided to portion corresponding to the cylindrical member 25. This constitution obviates necessity of a spring rod to support the stator 3 and prevents the stator from being deformed.
