Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a retroreflective object arranged with transparent microspheres roughly on one plane by brushing a self-adhesive layer on a sheet-like object, and burying said spheres thereon. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive layer 1 is brushed thinly on a sheet-like object, and transparent microspheres 3, 3' consisting of inorg. glass are stuck gently by a method such as spraying thereon in such a way that only part of said bottom half-spheres are buried. The adhesive which is non-sticking to the spheres 3, 3' and retains self- adhesiveness over a long period of time is used. A reflective metallic thin film 4 is vacuum deposited on the top surfaces and in the clearances of said spheres 3, 3'. Next, a binder 5 which has much stronger tight sticking force than the self-adhesive force to the 3, 3' of the layer 1 but is non-sticking to the layer 1 is adhered on the top surface of the film 4.
