Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the warm-up time after an inside inspection of a copier, by providing a switch that breaks only the power supply of the drive system when a door is opened. CONSTITUTION:The diagram shows the drive system of a copier. Photosensitive drum 2 and optical system drive pulleys 28 and 25 are driven by a main motor 1 via the transmission mechanism including a sprocket, gears, wires, etc. when an open/close door (not shown in the diagram) is opened to make an internal inspection of a copier, a microswitch 41 breaks the supply of electric power to the motor 1. The power supply is not cut off for a fixing devide, etc. that requires the warm-up time. Thus the power supply is started to the motor 1 when the door is closed, and at the same time all functions are recovered. The switch 41 is also operated by hand.
