Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of contents and improve sealability by packing heat-resistant powder in the nozzle hole of a stationary nozzle, and locating a sintering layer at the intermediate of heat resistant powder packed layers in a sliding nozzle device. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal 10 teemed into a ladle 1 contacts with the heat- resistant powder 9 packed in the upper part of the nozzle hole 3A of a stationary nozzle 3 of the nozzle device in the bottom part of a ladle 1, and since the powder 9 has coarse density, it is difficult to melt and sinter but the molten metal 10 penetrates relatively quickly. When the molten metal 10 penetrating through the powder 9 layer arrives at a sintering layer 8, the layer 9 forms a sintered body layer 8A, thereby shutting off the molten metal 10. The molten metal 10 leaking through the layer 8A is shut off by a heat-resistant powder 7 layer.
