Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform stable filtering and pressing free from possibility of clogging by generating the internal pressure necessary for filtering and pressing of slurry between an inside cylinder and an outside cylinder by means of the relative revolutions of guide vanes supported by the inside and outside cylinders. CONSTITUTION:Concd. slurry is supplied through a slurry supply port 4c to the front end part of an outside cylinder 4, and an inside cylinder 6 is rotated in an arrow R1 direction by a motor 12. The internal pressure necessay for filtering and pressing of the slurry is generated between the inside cylinder 6 and the outside cylinder 4 by the relative revolutions of the cylinder 6 and spiral guide vanes 5 of gradually decreasing pitches, whereby filtration is accomplished. Solids are fed toward the rear by the vanes 5, and are dehydrated. The dehydrated solids drop through a rear end opening 4d into a cake recovery car 30. On the other hand, the separated liquid content passes together with part of the cake scum through the slits (b) of slit cylinder 14, 15 and the small holes (a) of the punched barrel part 6a of the cylinder 6, and leeches to the inside surface side of the cylinder 6. The filtrate and cake scum guided to a front end opening 6b by screw vanes 17 driven in the direction opposite R2 from the cylinder 6 drop into a recovery car 31.
