Abstract

PURPOSE:To collect the gas excluding dust, etc., by forming a midway area of a sampling probe into a cylinder having closed both ends and then inserting a gas sucking pipe with its axial core coincident with the above-mentioned cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A midway area of a sampling probe is formed into an outer cylinder 1 of the sampling probe with its edge part closed by a cover 4, and a gas sucking pipe 5 is inserted with its axial core coincident with the cylinder 1. The gas containing the dust, i.e., the subject for analysis is led into the cylinder 1 through a gas lead-in pipe 2 to flow spirally along a flow path in the space between the cylinder 1 and the pipe 5. Meanwhile solid components such as dust, etc. are pressed to the wall surface of the cylinder 1 by the centrifugal force to be exhausted outside a system through an exhaust pipe 3 along with the greater part of the gas and at the right edge of the cylinder 1. On the other hand, the gas containing no dust and existing near the center of the cylinder 1 is collected through the pipe 5 to be used for the analysis purpose.
