Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a superior pressure fixing toner not causing offset phenomenon or blocking or the like during storage, by adding a polymer obtained by graft-polymerizing a thermoplastic polymer to a wax having a >=60 deg.C melting point or a polyolefin or the like polymer or copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polymer having a >=60 deg.C glass transition point in the case of a homopolymer, such as polystyrene or polymethyl methacrylate is graft-polymerized to a wax having a >=60 deg.C melting point or a polyolefin type polymer or copolymer, such as polyethylene or an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer as a stem. This graft polymer is mixed with a magnetic powder, a colorant, and the other necessary components to form a toner, thus permitting this toner to do good pressure fixing even on plain paper, not to cause offset to a pressing roller, not to stick to the surfaces of carriers, a developing sleeve, and a photoreceptor, and to prevent blocking, etc. during storage.
