Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent disturbance of the previously developed image by later processes by differing the intensities of the main pole magnets of the magnet groups provided in developing sleeves of two developing devices of a magnetic brush system. CONSTITUTION:The 1st, 2nd developing sleeves 6b, 7b are provided to the 1st, 2nd developing devices 6, 7, and have the 1st, 2nd magnet groups respectively therein. Of these magnets included in these magnet groups, main pole magnets 6c, 7c are provided in the positions opposite to a photosensitive drum 1. In order to make the magnetic brush formed on the 2nd sleeve 7b much softer, the magnetic flux distribution by the magnet 7c is so formed as to have crests and troughes as shown in the graph, so that the magnetic brushes corresponding to between the points A, B, the points C, D and the points E, F in the graph are formed softer than those in the prior art.
