Abstract
PURPOSE: To pharmacutical preparation to be medicated to the rectum having improved rectum absorption of a main drug, obtained by blending a pharmaceutical preparation comprising an aminoglycoside type antibiotic and/or polysaccharide as the main drug with specific amount of a 8W14C farty acid, leucic acid, and/or their nontoxic salts.
CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical preparation to be medicated to the rectum comprising 0.5W2wt% based on total pharmaceutical preparation of carboxylic acids selected from the group consisting of 8W14C fatty acid (preferably capric acid, lauric acid), leucic acid, their nontoxic salts, e.g., alkali metal salt, basic amino acid salt, etc. and a main drug selected from the group consisting of an aminoglycoside type antibiotic, e.g., gentamycin, etc., a polysaccharide, e.g., heparin, etc., a peptide having a molecular weight of ≤4,000, e.g., ACTH, etc., a mercaptoproline derivative, and a nucleic acid type compound, e.g., citicoline, etc., wherein the main drug can be absorbed from the rectum to the blood extremely easily.
