Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively and accurately fit the joint material to the muntin member by a method wherein there is constructed the machine to fix the joint material such as of wood or the like into the muntin member of a muntin frame such as aluminum interior fitting or the like by the insertion and pressure jointing.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of muntin frames are installed on a belt conveyor 11, sent along a feeding guide 12 and positioned by abutting against a stopper B, being detected by work detectors 171 and 172 to operate a cylinder 14. As a result, a holding plate 16 is mved to feed the muntin frame into between a drive roller 28 and a pressure jointing roller 30 along a guide groove 22. Simultaneously, adhesive bond is supplied from an adhesive tank 51 and continuously coated on the muntin frame by means of a nozzle 37. The muntin frame coated with adhesive bond is fed on the upper surface 42 of a work talbe and temporarily insertedly fixed with wooden joint material by a worker. After that, the muntin frame temporarily fixed with wooden joint material is transferred to the guide groove 22' of a second transfer passage H and permanently fixed with the wooden joint material by pressure jointing through the drive rollers 28' and 30' in first and second pressure jointing and feeding units I1 and I2.
