Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve measuring accuracy, by a method wherein insulation resistance is measured in hot line using a grounding type instrument transformer, and an adding amplifier is used to subtract voltage signal detected by detection resistance from voltage signal generated by an oscillator. CONSTITUTION:Return current i10 flowing in neutral line of a grounding type instrument transformer 7 is detected. Voltage signal obtained by multiplying the return current i10 at a prescribed ratio is subtracted from voltage signal generated by an oscillator 2 at an adding amplifier 13. Output of the adding amplifier 13 represents V1 across an insulation resistance 11 in considerable accuracy, and the output is introduced to a multiplying circuit 5 so as to multiply with detecting signal of the return current i10 thereby output being inversely proportional to the insulation resistance 11 accurately is obtained. In this constitution, insulation resistance can be accurately measured without being affected by stray capacity.
