Abstract

PURPOSE: To reproduce both sides without turning over a cassette tape, by providing two tape pads and capstan holes at both external sides.
CONSTITUTION: A microcassette tape 1 has two tape pads 2, 3, capstan holes 4, 5 at both external sides, magnetic tape 6, and run guides 7W10 of the tape 6. A capstan 11 turns clockwise and a capstan 12 turns counterclockwise and they are inserted to the capstan holes 4, 5. Magnetic heads 13, 14 are mounted on head supporting plates 17, 18 energized toward the arrow A with springs 15, 16. A switching plate 19 switches pinch rollers 20, 21 and magnetic tape 6 to a prescribed run direction.
