Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the stable operation of a heating furnace possible by deciding elevation of the heating levels of respective zones from the temp. elevation patterns of billets and heating state and directly controlling the flow rate of fuel in heating billets. CONSTITUTION:Billets 2 in a heating furnace 1 are heated with a burner 3, and a billet temp. detecting part 101 calculates the billet temp. changes of the present and after a constant time by using the furnace temp. detected with a furnace temp. detecting gage 7, and estimates billet temps. A temp. elevation pattern operating part 102 determines the optimum billet temp. elevation pattern according to furnace operation conditions. A heating state decision part 103 is inputted from the part 101 and the part 102 and calculates the indices for deciding whether the heating state of the billets in the respective zones of the furnace is good or not. A set value calculating part 104 is inputted with the evaluation losses after a constant time, and calculates the correction rates for the flow rates of fuel in the respective zones corresponding to these. The set values determined by these are outputted to a flow rate controller 6, and if the openings of a flow rate controlling valve 5 are determined, the occurrence of an abrupt change in the flow rate is prevented.
