Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure reliable operation of a combustor and to lower the manufacturing cost of the same, by constructing a safety device by use of an electronic circuit, and preventing malfunctioning due to instantaneous interruption of power supply with no use of relays.
CONSTITUTION: A safety device for a combustor is composed of resistances 10, 12, 15W17, diodes 11, 13, capacitor 14 and a differential amplifier 18. When misfiring or mis-ignition is caused, a combustion detecting circuit 8 gives a signal to an alarm circuit 3, which in turn produces an output signal. At the same time, output of the differential amplifier 18 becomes zero, so that supply of an operation signal to a thermo-circuit 6 is interrupted. Resultantly, the thermo-circuit 6 is de-energized and combustion is stopped. On the other hand, when stoppage of power supply takes place, the capacitor 14 begins to discharge via diode 11 and resistance 10, so that the output of amplifier 18 becomes zero and supply of the operation signal to the thermo-circuit 6 is also interrupted. Here, malfunctioning of the safety device due to instantaneous interruption of power supply can be prevented by the function of the time required for the voltage of capacitor 14 to drop to the level of the differential amplifier 18.
