Abstract

PURPOSE: A water ink excellent in water resistance of hand writing and solubility of the dye, which contains a salt of an acid and/or direct dye with a basic dye, and an ethylene oxide adduct-type activator as effective components.
CONSTITUTION: A water ink comprising a salt of an acid dye and/or a direct dye with a basic dye, an ethylene oxide adduct-type activator such as a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether activator, a water-soluble org. solvent such as ethylene glycol, and water. Said ink is more excellent in water resistance of hand writing than a conventional ink prepared by use of a direct dye and has solubility similar to that of a conventional ink prepared by use of an acid dye.
