Abstract

PURPOSE: A liquid antispatter agent having excellent spatter removing and preventing characteristics, which comprises a liquid mixture prepared by mixing a mineral, animal, vegetable oil, etc. with an additive contg. a fatty acid, a metal soap thereof or a sulfonate.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid antispatter agent comprising a liquid mixture prepared by mixing a base oil consisting of a mineral oil such as spindle oil, machine oil or turbine oil, a synthetic oil such as a quenching oil or a heat transfer oil, or an animal or vegetable oil such as rapeseed oil or castor oil, with an additive contg. a fatty acid such as a dimer acid, a metal soap thereof or a sulfonate such as calcium sulfonate. A film is formed on a welding nozzle by use of said agent and, after welding, the adhered spatter is removed and a new film of the agent is formed by immersing the welding nozzle on which the spatter adheres into the liquid antispatter agent.
