Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a device which can mount an ink heater part easily on a carriage and gives no bad influence on a nozzle part in the ink supply system of an ink jet printer by allowing a filter to be served as an ink heater part also. CONSTITUTION:The filter 20 made from porous metal such as sintered stainless steel or the like is supported by metallic holders 21, 22 and the connexion to a teflon tube 7 is maintained by a cap nut 23. The filter 10 constructed in such a manner is soldered with a heat conductive plate 31 made up of a metal having an excellent heat conductivity and the heat conductive plate 31 and the heater 11 are connected through a screw 32. The heater 11 is controlled by a printed board 30 for a temperature control circuit provided on the carriage and the heat is transmitted to the filter 10 through the heat conductive plate 31 and ink in the filter is heated up to the desired temperature.
