Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect the load cell securely when it is not used by providing screw holes having an equal diameter and an equal pitch which are aligned with a movable part in relation to a load of the measuring instrument wherein the load cell is provided and a stationary part, and screwing a common screw. CONSTITUTION:The screw holes having the equal diameter and the equal pitch are formed so that they are aligned with the movable part in relation to the load of the measuring instrument wherein the load cell is used as a weight sensing means and the stationary part. One of the screw holes is a through hole, and the common screw is screwd in both screw holes when the measuring instrument is not used. For example, a frame 20 of a square load cell is fixed to a stationary part 21. A leg 22a of a weight transmitting member 22 is fixed to the right side thereof. The through screw hole 26 is provided on the right end part of the weight transmitting member. The screw hole 28 which has the equal diameter and the equal pitch and is aligned with the screw 26 is provided in a locking post 27 which is fixed to the stationary part. When the measuring instrument is not used, the common screw 29 is screwed into both screw holes 26 and 28. Even though the common screw is excessively tightened, the cell is not effected and perfectly protected.
