Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the presence of a flaw and its size with high accuracy even at the time when measuring condition varies, by executing the flaw detection by utilizing the ratio of two receiving signals outputted from two receiving coils. CONSTITUTION:Two each of transmitting coils 3 and receiving coils 4 are arranged in parallel. The coils on one side are to become comparing coils 3s and 4s, and the coils on the other sides are to become measuring coils 3m and 4m. An output of the receiving coil 4m is amplified by an amplifier 6d, and then, the waveform is shaped by a waveform-shaping circuit 9d and given as a numerator input of a divider 10. On the other hand, after an output of the comparing's receiving coil 4s is made to pass an amplifier 6s, the waveform is shaped by a waveform-shaping circuit 9s and given as a denominator input of the divider 10. In short, an output which is produced by dividing a measuring output signal by a comparing output signal is monitored by a monitor 7. Further, the waveform-shaping circuits 9s and 9d take in signals by a prescribed time synchronizing with pulse current of a pulser 5 and contain a gate circuit and a peak-holding circuit which holds a wave height value.
