Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent abnormal corrosion in a pump and piping by interposing an elecrically insulated resin board berween a pump body and a motor and a common base plate and by placing a sacrificial electrode in a portion where stray current in the piping system flows out into electrolyte solution.
CONSTITUTION: By fixing a stainless sacrificial inner tube extension 16 or a sacrificial electrode 18 to a pump body 1 and a delivery pipe 8 mounted on a common base plate 3 via an insulator 21 as shown in the diagram, electric corrosion of the pump body 1 will become hardly perceptible and a drastic saving of maintenace expense and a sharp cut of loss due to cessation of a plant can be achieved. Also, by simultaneously placing the sacrificial inner tube extension 16 and the sacrificial electrode 18 and connecting them with a lead wire 17, generation of electric corrosion can be prevented either in a delivery port or a runner- nut of the pump body even when a flow direction of stroy current is changed.
