Abstract

PURPOSE: To restrain an irregular revolution of a rotary valve as well as prevent its abnormal vibration by forming a circumferential shape of an oil passage in such a way that it becomes larger as it withdraws from the rolling-slide surface between a rotor and a sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: At an early stage of opening a rotary valve, narrowed fluid flowing from an oil passage 8 to an oil port 7 acts to encourage a rotor 2 to rotate in the direction of "a" owing to jet force of the fluid. At a later stage of opening the rotary valve, narrowed fluid flowing from the oil passage 8 to the oil port 7 acts to hamper the rotor 2 to rotate in the direction of "a".
