Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a measurement through the collection of a non-volatile component, by a method wherein an inactive gas is blown into an organic solution containing a non-volatile material. CONSTITUTION:A mixture slurry of ethyle acetate, containing a small amount of catalyst, and acetaladehyde, is placed in a reactor 1 for preparing ethyl acetate. The slurry solution, adjusted to a given temperature, is fed into a gas liquid separator 2 through a feed pipe 3. An inactive gas 8 (N2), adjusted to a given velocity of flow by a flow meter 9, is fed in dispersion to the feed pipe 3, and contacts a reaction liquid in the separator 2 to saturate N2 in a very short time with a volatile component in the reaction liquid. Said N2 gas is fed to a gas analyzer 7 through a demister 5 by means of gas exhaust pipe 6 to measure the concentration of a component. The concentration of a volatile component in a reaction liquid in a gas liquid balancing state can be indirectly found from said analysis value.
