Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the contamination of an industrial oil, by passing the industrial oil through the dehydrating step with a specific zeolite, removing step of magnetic materials by the magnetic force, and removing step of fine particles with plural filters to clean the oil while keeping the oil at a specific viscosity.
CONSTITUTION: An industrial oil cleaned by the following steps while being kept at a viscosity ≤68 cSt: (A) The dehydration in contact with a zeolite having a pore diameter of 3W5Å; (B) the removal of magnetic materials in the oil by the indirect adsorption on magnetized magnetic bodies in a magnetic apparatus, etc. placed on the oil flow path wall; and (C) the removal of fine particles by passing through plural filters placed in the order of decreasing mesh size one after another. The respective steps (A), (B) and (C) may be carried out in any order.
